New Shisha Bowl Design !

Recommended Posts

As many of you know, I broke my glass shisha bowl a few days ago. ( The first one I got from Santino's store. )

So.. I was very sad and decided to try get another, but they have come up with a new design that is AWESOME !
The bowl its self is blown glass, and has a beatiful design on the shaft ( of course I got mine in blue. ) and also around the bottom lip.
It's kinda like a phunnel, but ...without the phunnel tongue.gif . The concept is the same, but instead of having one big hole in the middle, there are SEVERAL holes all around the top edge of the bowl kinda like a little hookah crown ! happy.gif
This makes it VERY easy to clean, and I was able to get MUCH more smoke from all areas of the bowl!
I ended up sluffing the rest of work to stay home and smoke lol.
This is one of the BEST SMOKING BOWLS I HAVE EVER HAD !
It is now the crowning cherry on my favorite hookah!

Thanks Santino !

So do you fill the shisha up to just below the holes? Looks like it could be a cool new way to get the same general effect of the phunnel with a different design.

does the juice not bubble up into the holes when smoking tangiers?

that's a good point too....but, seeing as how Santino smokes plenty of Tangiers, he should be able to answer that...i think.

We've been R&Ding this thing for the last month and a half or so.. smoked every tobacco brand that I have available, and we haven't seen ANY juice leak through (which surprised me originally.. to be honest.) I loaded it right up to the rim, the airflow is still plentiful.

These are in their infancy still. They are available from me directly right now. PM me with colors and we can work it out. Bowls are $25. We can also do custom colors etc, but depending on the difficulty the price may go up.

At first I don't see how this would allow for proper airflow through tangiers, because it would just be tightly packed with holes above it. But as far as I can tell if it was air tight it should work. I might be interested in grabbing one of these just for my collection.

Damnit, I was beaten to the idea....I thought of a similar idea earlier this week, and well...I'm too slow.

Kudos on the kickass bowl! I'd love to get my hands on one in the future possibly. Edited by mustang_steve

That's really awesome man, great idea for a bowl. I will most likely pick one up when a retailer or website (HJ/HC/Etc.) has them.

Well, I'll certainly take one for the team. My beloved medium phunnel took a tumble yesterday, and was given a proper burial. Time for something kick ass to rise from the ashes.

Seriously...well worth it! I love it ! It works great. Been smoking out of it all night and it is still as perrrrrty as ever. Have tried Tang, AF, and Fantasia in it so far. Will experiment with others tomor. lol.. I'm smoked out for the night.
I LOVE how easy it is to clean!

Any plans to do a glass screen? I love the one I got with my MNH phunnel. Although I'd like a better fit, because I'm paranoid.

Can someone school me on the airflow of a bowl like this (and even more so, a phunnel).

Why doesn't the hot air just go right through the foil and into the holes in the glass bowl? It seems like that would be the closest path and the one of least resistance? And for a phunnel--wouldn't the hot air just go right down from the foil straight down the tube of the phunnel opening?

Doesn't the hot air have to pass by the shisha to heat it/produce vapor?

the heat of the coals distributes to the bowl via the foil, this causes the shisha to heat up, producing vapors....when you pull, the vapors are brought into the air outlet (the center hole for a phunnel, or side holes for this design).

edit: this is why it's better to have a slow-starting bowl over a really fast one...as the bowl heats up, the temperatures the shisha is exposed to goes up, thus the risk of burning is higher. Edited by mustang_steve
